Nada
I dont know about the specs needed for a monitor vs a TV so I wonder if anyone knows if this Aldi 48" UHD TV could make a great monitor? Resolution: 3840 x 2160 Panel Native Refresh Rate: 60Hz Response Time: 8ms Contrast Ratio: 4000:1 Brightness: 300 (cd/m2) Viewing Angle: 170 x 170 Aspect Ratio: 16:9 It could be set back further then a smaller monitor to ease the eyes while maybe giving very sharp text and video? Lil Caesar
Yes BUT ONLY if you plan on using a high-end video card that will support 60Hz @3840x2160 The other consideration is that the panel MUST be able to process a 12-bit 4:4:4 chroma signal in order to display true white from your computer. This is because of the manner in which the TV "reads" the 32-bit RGB signal from your video card. The panel itself need only be 10-bit processing capable - no 12-bit panels are yet available BUT it needs to be able to read the 12-bit format. AND HDMI 2.0+ from your video card will go a long way in helping the two devices sync and change colour modes if playing with the drivers is required. Fun and games eh ? PleasantSounds
Another consideration regarding the high res monitors (and TVs) is the system you use and even more so the applications. Not all of them are able to scale up the fonts in order to remain readable. Double the resolution and your 8pt text becomes 4pt, especially in the older apps. Keep that magnifying glass handy!
