Iwas looking at the Consonance Cyber-800 Mono Blocks any one had any experiance with these.

I would be interested to here what any body has to say as they look like a real bargain, or are there Austrailian made units that are as goood and as cheep or cheeper :)

Gav, they do look like a bargain of sorts. l have not heard them but have the Cyber 845's, they are "attempting" to dirve the Osbrorn Grand Monuments but just didnt have the control needed for such a speaker, rated at only 28wpc l think. Contact Greg osborn and see if you can borrow a pair. Greg is at Taylors Lakes, Melbourne

Cheers

I am not very familuar with what valve amps can handle , I am surprised that 28w Amps would even come close to powering those huge looking speakers

They didnt really, couldnt control the big cones at all. Fine on simple music but put on some thumping bass and they got all flappy and uncontrolled.

You wont get anything Aussie made that l am aware of that will compare for perceived value, as for SQ not sure .
