I have a HK AVR630 and am thinking of using this as the Processor/Pre Amp and adding on an Acurus A125x5 Power Amp. The thing I am concerned about is the Input Sensitivity matching. The Acurus Input Sensitivity is 1.1V for Full Output. The HK has 200mV/47K Ohms Input and Usable Sensitivity of IHF 1.3uV/13.2dBf. I have no idea how these relate together but are curious if the Acurus will match well with the HK to drive my Dynaudio Audience speakers.

Dunno about the numbers but yes it will work. A friend is doing this with the 630 and an Elektra - works fine.

hello !

I'm that friend. THe HK AVR630 makes a sensational pre-pro. I'd heartidly encourage you to give it a go with your power amp.

Alot of people do this, they start off with an AVR then as funds allow purchase a good quality 2 or multi channel amp.
They then use the AVR simply as a pre/processor
