From Vic (but you knew that already, just see my profile!) ;) But originally from WA. In fact I still feel more loyalty to WA than to Vic, but that may change ;)

Hi everyone,

I'm from Victoria also.

I'll be moving into a new house in December and am looking to purchase my first hi fi system.

I have so much to learn but it looks like I couldn't be in a better location.

Mate I have just been trying to figure this same question out for various individuals here. I wish everyone would update their sigs to include their state if not their town. Make it easier to get them invites to gtg's :)

PS Any of you non-Mexicans who want to cross the border for our CDP shootout on Sat pm, you are all invited (just so you don't feel left out OK?)

lol, that must be the reason....., winter seems to be damn cold and miserable that's for sure (which is saying something being originally from the shaky isles!)

Nice warm day today, 27 according to bom (at Parramatta anyway).

Anyway, pros and cons, seems to be more hifi fun to be had in VIC :-(

Norpus, you are more than welcome to come to my house, except there really is no point as I am probably where you were about 5 years ago, working on it though :-) Might be a couple of other forum members (both here and on that other forum who might be interested??)

EDIT: Oops, better go enter where I'm from <sheepish grin> no NZ jokes please!

I just got the Sony Cineza one. It was a toss up between that one or the AE900 Panasonic. I think the Pano has a ever so slightly better picture (pixels closer together) but the Sony has a better contrast and better globe warranty. If you have heaps to spend the HD Sony PJ has an unbelivably good picture but it's 14k.

The only person I know with the pano got it off ebay for 2400, probably a grey import so warranty might be an issue. I certainly wouldn't pay more than 25-26 for one though. Shame you've just missed the free spare lamp offer.

Hey Guys

What was this SITE called before this.

That's right [Planet Audio].........We are now Know as stereo.net.au

How many of the original Planet Audio people still post here?

Consider that in your poll.

Anybody got the numbers of [since the change over] and Prior to.

That might give a more representative call on actual active forum members.

Keith_W

Well as a matter of fact we do have some stats.

Up till Feb 2007, PA was getting about 3000 posts/month.

From Mar 2007 onwards, SNA averages about 4800 posts/month.

Not possible to dissect the stats into who has been posting and who has not.

Now, back when I was born in 1834, all you so called 'Victorians' were actually New South Welshman.....lucky buggers...you could have all been playing Rugby and have some players in the Australian cricket team. Come on, admit it, you really WOULD rather be.....hehehe.....

Yep I'm a South Aussie.
I've always wondered if as their number plates proudly proclaim Victoria is (the place to be) why do we keep seeing large numbers of the said plates in every other state, particularly during the winter months, makes ya wonder don't it.:D
